Tourism has today become one of the fastest growing high employment and income generating sector of the State of Kerala .in order to exploit the tremendous potentials for the tourism related industries in Malabar region the Malabar Tourism Development Co-operative Limited was formed in February 2000, with Mr.E.P.Jayarajan as the chairman to promote business related to Tourism and Hospitality Industry, that would open up a new employement avenues, and stimulate economic growth of the region at a better and faster rate.

The main objects of the Co-operative are to establish, maintain and manage
* Amusement and Water Theme Park
* Hotels, Restaurants, Cool bars, Motels etc
* Shops for selling, handicrafts
* Water sports and river cruises
* Hill and beech resorts with modern etc etc
Authorized Capital :
The Authorized Capital is Rs20 Corers and this could well be raised to at such higher levels and when found necessary

Membership :
The Membership is open to persons, Co-operative institution, local self Governments and Governmental establishments.

Membership Fee and Share Value :
The membership Fee is limited to Rs 10/-(Rupees Ten Only)for all categories. Persons seeking membership shall hold minimum one share valuing Rs 500/- and Institutions Rs 10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand only).
Members are entitled to hold a maximum 5% of the authorized capital i.e. Up to Rs 10Lakhs.

Board of Management :
The Management is vested with Board of Directories elected by the General Body for term of Five Years.
